Every YUGA jewel is created to be worn, loved and treasured. As our pieces are crafted in brass with gold plating, a little care will help preserve their finish, shine and beauty for longer.
Keep it dry
Avoid direct contact with water, perfume, deodorant, hairspray, lotions, oils and other cosmetics. Always wear your jewellery after completing your beauty routine.
Remove before bathing or swimming
Do not wear your jewellery while showering, swimming, exercising or entering a sauna. Moisture, chlorine, salt water and perspiration can gradually affect the plating.
Avoid chemicals
Keep your jewellery away from household cleaners, sanitisers and other harsh chemicals, as these may damage or discolour the plated surface.
Handle with care
Avoid dropping, bending or placing heavy objects over your jewellery. Pieces with stones, intricate detailing or delicate components should be handled gently.
Clean gently
After wearing, softly wipe your jewellery with a clean, dry and soft cloth to remove perspiration, oils or residue. Do not use abrasive cloths, polishing agents, jewellery cleaners or chemical solutions on gold-plated pieces.
Store separately

Gold plating is a surface finish and may naturally evolve with time and wear. The longevity of the plating depends on factors such as frequency of use, exposure to moisture and chemicals, perspiration, individual skin pH and how the jewellery is stored and cared for.
This natural change in finish is part of the character of plated jewellery and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
